Steel Exchange India Limited has an SMS & Power Unit located at Kothapeta, Ravulapalem near Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh. The plant is spread over 13.5 acres and its products are ISO 9001:2000 as well as BIS Certified.

The plant generates 12MW of electricity from natural gas supplied by GAIL. The power plant is connected to the APSEB Grid with an agreement in place for power evacuation. The electricity is captively used to manufacture billets/ingots in the 3 Induction Furnaces of the plant.
